THE BRIEF

Tiaho Mai means “the light that comes from the moon and the stars - shine here" in Te Reo Maaori.

Tiaho Mai is a residential unit, supporting people with mental health problems during a crisis. The unit was rebuilt within the grounds of the existing Middlemore Hospital site using a co-design approach and recently opened.

I was tasked to create a coffee table book, documenting the co-design journey that was undertaken to meet the needs of its mental health patients.
